Navdeep Asija
Founder of Ecocabs dial-a-cycle rickshaw and won the 2011 National Award of Excellence by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.
Pursuing his Ph.D. for Road Safety from IIT Delhi and currently works for Governmental and Non Governmental organization as a consultant in the area of road safety and sustainable transport solutions.
Gautam Chaudhary
As Lead Developer for the Ecocabs, designs and develops the web services and smartphone apps for the project. An engineering graduation student, Gautam is always charged up for working on projects that engage in social issues and aim to bring a positive change to the community.
Believing in the power of 'we', he thinks that even a small group of people, can bring a qualitative change in the society.
Seema Singh
Currently working as a Research Associate in the Centre for Research in Sustainable Urban Development and Transport Systems at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi. She is a trained architect from the Chandigarh College of Architecture and has a Masters degree in Infrastructure Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad. She is passionate about promoting sustainable modes of transport especially walking and various forms of cycling.
Ashok Felix
Director of Karlo Transport (Hyderabad). Develops free/open-source software in all platforms as a hobby. Believes that people with the right skills and abilities can bring about major changes in their neighbourhood and nation alike.
Harman Singh Sidhu
Harrowing personal experience of a road crash in 1996 and living in constant pain since then, Harman started an NGO Arrive Safe in Chandigarh about Road Safety and safe Transportation so that the same doesn’t happen to anyone else. Harman has been covered by BBC world news to feature in programs such as Collision course and India’s motoring revolution, and has been awarded with Prince Michael International Road Safety Award, CNN IBN Award for National Service and State Award for Meritorious Service.
Khushdeep
A graphic designer - post graduated from a design college. Loves making illustrations which are having some social cause and humour. Creative head on able shoulders to take on any creative challenge. Quick on brainstorming and faster in inking ideas on paper. Strong believer in delivering quality, thoughtful ideas. Sensitive towards problems in society and eager to bring about a change in small way. Recently won the first prize all over India in a competition held by times of India under a category of a day in life of India.
Ashish Vashist
A public health professional with passion for working towards community health and concern for all the factors playing role in social developement. Volunteering for social causes for more than 7 years, he has worked on advocacy, planning and awareness on issues related to public health, environment, agriculture, education and social development.
Rupinder Singh
Entrepreneur and NZ resident who passionately work’s on road safety and runs saferoads4US with a belief that India cannot be a developed nation with chaotic roads. It would remain notional democracy unless it has road infrastructure that provides equitable space for all road users and not neglect vulnerable road users.
Harish Mehla
A lawyer practising in Punjab and Haryana High court, motivated towards social causes and presently working on various issues. He believes that we all owe some contributions to our society and during these times of crisis in society some motivated individual as well as concerted actions can only make a change conducive to the development and prosperity of society. In this path of making contributions, he is doing his bit in order to make society a further better place to live in.
Arjun Sheoran
A lawyer who has been passionately working in the areas of social justice, civil liberties and human rights since his student days at National Law School, Bangalore, and is currently practising law at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. He loves using internet technologies for democratising knowledge and improving access and is the founder of Legalsutra, Law Khoj and Amicus Advocatus.
Ashish Chandra
An Indian photographer and filmmaker, born on December 7, 1990 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He has done his Post Graduation in Management from Symbiosis Pune. He is currently based in Mumbai.
Abhishek Bali
An Industrial Design graduate from IIT Delhi, Abhishek is currently leading an Innovation team in an MNC in Gurgaon. He brings to the team a diverse experience ranging from teaching Design Thinking to designing mobile phones for Samsung. He loves to experiment with new things and has won couple of international competitions on the broad theme of mobility and human connectedness.
He believes in 'Trim Tab' principle - a small group of enthusiasts can change the way the earth rotates; if they decide to!
Abhinav Aggarwal
A young Mechanical Engineering graduate and entrepreneur, Abhinav Aggarwal is looking for answers to the present state of the society. A firm believer of rational & progressive thinking, he gives immense importance to reason & question.
"I always wondered why somebody didn't do something about that but then I realized I am somebody". He is of the view that the mind is source of creating value in life & society; it should not be utilised merely for minting money.
Aman Preet
Working as an advocate in district court Chandigarh, Aman is actively involved in organizing events and Social Media management. He is successfuly running a very active facebook page on Chandigarh with over 45K fans.
He is also a very passionate photographer.
